FAQ's
Answers to the questions we hear most often
Can we still live in our house while building work is being done?
Absolutely. We have completed many projects where clients have still been able to live in the house whilst building work is being undertaken. We will discuss options with you when we sign a building contract and we will establish a plan that best suits your needs at the time.
There are some projects however that require full vacancy of the site when work is being carried out — this is mainly due to health and safety regulations.
Can you project manage our job?
Absolutely. Full project management is one of the key points of difference in our business — we deliver it from start to finish, both onsite and offsite, organising the timing and performance of all contractors, sub-trades and services associated with your project.
Do you have references for past projects?
Yes, we do. Not only can we provide written references, we can give you full project and client details so you can meet with previous clients and see previous jobs we have done.
Do you use formal building contracts?
Yes, we do. We use thorough building contract documents backed by the Certified Builders Association. They are designed to support both parties involved in any building process.
What guarantee can you give us?
Mike Reidy Builders Ltd (through the comprehensive Halo 10 Year Residential Guarantee Insurance) are very proud to offer you a 10 Year Residential Guarantee Insurance Scheme. This guarantee covers:
- Loss of deposit
- Non-completion of the project
- Structural defects for ten years
- Alternative accommodation
What insurances do you have?
We have a very comprehensive commercial insurance policy, which includes Contract Works and Public Liability. We also have very detailed health and safety plans that we individually package to suit your site and project.
